What you'll do

You will utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in Fire Safety in the manufacturing industry to ensure safe workplace and to prevent any major incidents or emergencies.

In doing so, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking over previously installed Fire Safety systems within the whole facility, its further development and maintenance, including maintenance plan for all critical assets, selecting the proper predictive maintenance (PdM) and preventive maintenance (PM) techniques;
  • Development, maintenance and implementation of directives, instructions, processes and guidelines within Fire Safety, emergency response and Crisis Management, assessment and approval of chemicals;
  • Emergency Response Team to coordinate and maintain all the training and emergency response, within the whole factory area: Fire, Explosion, Natural disasters, Emergency response, Environmental accidents.
  • Collaboration with the Fire brigade, emergency services, local authorities etc. in all matters related to Fire Safety and Risk;
  • Performing regular Fire Safety related audits, based on legal and Volvo requirements, ensuring compliance to Volvo Fire Risk prevention plan and legal compliance of all installed fire safety systems and standards (NFPA, etc.);
  • Providing assistance to project leaders or manufacturing engineers on any new installation (capital project);
  • Preparation and implementation of Fire Safety and Lost Prevention related trainings, lessons learned management, sharing best practice and knowledge.

What you'll bring

  • Several years of previous working experience in Fire Safety, Fire Prevention Systems Maintenance & Risk management in an industrial environment, preferably in automotive company OEM/Tier1 and in a transformation period, or green-field project;
  • Extensive knowledge of predictive maintenance, respective local Fire Safety legislation, and methods, tools, processes, and ways of working in automotive production is preferred;
  • Extensive experience with Fire Safety and construction documentation and layouts;
  • Preferred engineering university education in Civil, Manufacturing, Safety, or related field;
  • Fire Safety Technician Certificate is required, Fire Safety Specialist Certificate is an advantage;
  • Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project;
  • Excellent communication skills, conversational in English (written and spoken), while Slovak language skills will be a preferred merit;
  • Proven ability to work within a multinational team, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.000 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
