Who will you report to?
The position is located at the Volvo Car Kosice plant and the main reporting line leads to Head of Plant Engineering.
What will you do?
You will utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the manufacturing industry to take ownership of the facility management, which means that you will establish a globally harmonized delivery of high-quality, coherent, uninterrupted, and well-functioning FM services within the plant and achieve continuous cost reductions, focusing on total cost of ownership.
You will be responsible for recruiting and building your FM organization that will live up to our Lean fundamentals in their everyday tasks and closely collaborate with plant environment, plant business office, and global manufacturing network.
In doing so, you will be responsible for:
- Property Related Services: Operation and Maintenance of Buildings, Technical Building Installations, Grounds and Fire Protection, Environment systems;
- User Related Services: Operation of Cleaning, Security & Guarding, Surveillance, Reception, Waste handling, Canteen and food Services;
- Drive new and/or improve existing projects for the Plant, including security activities, development of Contract Management capabilities, and standardization of service level agreement (SLA) based services;
- Ensure that the facilities and any engineering projects affecting real estate are in compliance with the local legislation;
- Deal directly with local authorities in matters related to local Police, emergency services, infrastructure and building authority;
- Ensure that the Operating budget, capex, resource and competence planning are kept as per Business plan;
- Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, cost estimations, document assignment specifications, requirements, supplier relationship procedures, and agreements;
- Define, align, and oversee contract terms and specifications and their fulfillment to ensure quality service & product deliveries from the contracted suppliers to secure the quality of sourced Plant Engineering Facility Management needs;
- Bear a team leadership responsibility (up to approx. 10 people);
- Be responsible for lessons learned management, share best practice and knowledge.
What will you bring?
- Several years of previous working experience in a leading role within Facility Management / Plant Engineering in a highly automated industrial environment, preferably OEM and/or under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project;
- Extensive knowledge of methods, tools, processes, production systems, and ways of working in automotive production;
- Extensive collaboration, networking, and argumentation skills but also deep knowledge of process design;
- Preferred engineering university education in Civil, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical, Logistics, or related field;
- Applicable Legal competence, practical knowledge or respective local legislation;
- Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project;
- Excellent Service skills, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, conversational in English (written and spoken), while Slovak language skills will be a preferred merit;
- Strong interest in leadership and in developing people - you are highly successful in bringing out the best in others;
- Proven ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel, although based in Košice, Slovakia.

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 3.500 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
