What will you do?

 

As our next Equipment Engineer you will execute industrialization projects for our Machining shop in Kosice, Slovakia, together with a project team from concept phase.

 

You will also: 

  • Follow methods and techniques for equipment in the production, execute equipment projects for the production units to fulfil the defined quality, lead time, cost efficiency, safety/health/environment, flexibility, change over.
  • Establish and update technical equipment specifications within the area: PLC/Automation.
  • Define communication strategy and setup between PLC and IT servers.
  • Executes equipment projects (develops, calculates, plans, TSU, procures and verifies) for plants in area: PLC/Automation.
  • Learn and practice PLC/Automation strategy to meet manufacturing (process) targets.
  • Check and verify electrical control program and drawings.
  • Follow up of the contractors during design, manufacturing and installation, taking care that specifications are followed.
  • Understand and implement Volvo standards in new projects.
  • Reporting status and deviations in decided systems / tools and ensure that there are action plans to reach targets.
  • Handover PLC/Automation/Andon system related to the end user.

What you'll bring

 

  • Have more than 5 years equipment invested in project experience in passenger car or relevant company.
  • Have a B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent competence gained by experience
  • Familiar with SIEMENS PLC and HMI programming software.
  • Experienced in reviewing electrical drawings using EPLAN software.
  • Be good at expressing, communication and coordination.
  • Working experience with foreign staff in joint venture preferred.
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS windows and MS office applications.
  • Experience with machining lines desired.

 

As a person we believe you have great communication skills, and you collaborate well with others. We also think you are a structured person who plans and has documentation skills. Self-driven, result oriented, flexible and positive attitude are also needed competencies.
The position is based in Kosice, Slovakia with casual travels towards suppliers and our shops in Europe.

Compensation

 

Salary for this position starting from 2000 EUR, per month, gross.                                                                                                

The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
