Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

Who will you report to?
Reports to: Body in White Shop manager

Responsibility

  • Responsible to achieve the shop performance targets during the shift (Safety, Volume, Quality, etc)
  • Coach people and support/provide Supervisors and teams with the prerequisites required to achieve priorities and targets.
  • Full production system utilization and optimization within area of responsibility
  • Priority management based on Real Time Management
  • Responsible link to management
  • Plans department activities, implements company initiatives, handles people management and escalated people issues within his/her area.
  • Leads and coordinates resources to cover absenteeism outside SV scope.
  • Coach, trains and develops people.
  • Setting business targets for performance in line with company’s vision and mission.
  • Coach, support and challenge the Supervisor in the short- and long-term business.
  • Responsibility for Business targets and results within his/her responsibility area.
  • Secure that Supervisors and teams deliver the required activities to ensure that products and services are delivered on time according to described standards.
  • Responsibility to compare / analyze Time managements between the teams within his/her area.
  • Give training (e.g. during Gemba, in classroom …) and use coaching approach towards teams and individuals.
  • Continuously develop the competence of the team through training, on-the-job coaching and 1 to 1 development.  You are the main coach / trainer for the supervisor, and you provide timely feedback on improvement areas to the supervisor, team and team members.
  • Continually feedback (Lessons learned) to all concerned areas (e.g. ME process)
  • Undertake all relevant personnel management including resource planning short and long term, holiday planning, sickness management and individual performance management.
  • Ensure the usage of the correct amount of resources (material, machines and personnel).
  • To act, communicate and role model the Volvo Car Group values and company philosophy in line with M&L's principles and behaviors.
  • Planning, implementation and audit team development of VCMS in your teams in alignment with the overall plant Master Plan.
  • Provide the right environment for your teams to work together effectively with good communication and co-operation both with each other and with relevant support functions.  Ensure that all the appropriate conditions and prerequisites are in place.
  • Ensure that both workload and resources are organized appropriately in order to
  • meet the business objectives in the short, medium and long term.
  • Secure that the relevant laws, regulations and procedures are followed by all.
  • Develop, maintain and improve standards within your area to remove variability and thus create stability for you and your team, providing greater opportunity for your team to reach targets.
  • Consistently use the visualization standards in order to provide transparency on performance and challenges in your area.
  • Ensure your teams understand their responsibility toward the customer and that everybody feels accountable to deliver to their customer on time and to quality.
  • Encourage your team to highlight problems, deviations, opportunities to improve trough potential solutions.
  • Ensure you and your team own the progress of the actions required to resolve the issue and/or create improvements.
  • Provide your team the necessary cross functional support to drive corrective or improvement actions by ensuring the required competences are made available within your team.
  • Create together with your team an image of how a Lean process should look like.
  • Ensure that your team understand the requirements of your process to meet the demands of the factory and the customer.
  • Work proactively across the value stream with a cross functional team in order to understand the impact of your area in the overall flow.  Continually focusing on reducing bottlenecks, minimizing losses in order to maintain a high level of stability, flow and cost control.
  • Provide a safe and open learning environment to identify areas of improvement in all aspects of the business.
  • Actively spread good working practices to others and use good practices shared with you.

 

What you bring?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, on-site management experience is necessary.
  • Several years of management in highly automated OEMs or suppliers, body in white experience is a plus.
  • Excellent in Slovak and English listening, speaking, written skills, and presentation

Salary for this position starting from 3.260 EUR, per month, brutto.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
