Accountant (VCK)

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team and develop the accounting department on our journey to setup a new organization from scratch.
Located in Kosice, Slovakia, you will be working to support Volvo Cars Slovakia industrial operations in Slovakia with daily accounting, preparing reports,and ensuring accuracy in financial records together with a team of colleagues. 
You will also be involved in analysis, projects, and process improvements for financial processes with focus on accounting. 

We are looking for a professional with some years of experience in similar position, but it can be also an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with the right mindset.
As an early joiner of the Finance team, this person will be involved in all the initial systems setup, enabling to influence it and to grow into the organisation as the agenda gets more complex in the future.
 

What you'll do

• Performs professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data. Requires an understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles and bookkeeping experience. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, bank account reconciliation.
• You have a degree in Business Administration or similar relevant experience. 
• You need to be proactive and be able to communicate in a clear and efficient way, building trust and relations with our stakeholders. 
• It is essential that you are fluent both, in English and Slovak, verbal and written.
• Industrial accounting background and interest working with data analysis, automation and digitalization is a great advantage. 

Competence and experience are important, but personality is key! To be successful in this position you need to have accounting knowledge, the willingness to learn and help in several tasks in this start-up phase of this project.

Compensation

Salary for this position starting from 1500 EUR, per month, gross.            
                                                     
The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
