What you'll do
This role is responsible for strategically leading marketing, branding, PR & marketing communications for Volvo Cars in India. The incumbent will be expected to develop and drive an appropriate strategy and marketing mix for establishing Volvo Cars as the preferred brand in the luxury automobile domain.
The main role responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement measurable strategies that drive customer traffic and profitable growth of all car lines and services offered by Volvo Car India.
• Plan and execute well-performing, well-coordinated launches of new and existing car lines.
• Align with global (Sweden HQ) and regional (APEC) guidelines to implement effective and targeted marketing in tandem with Volvo Car India short-term and long-term objectives.
• Sustain and strengthen the Volvo Car brand’s unique and compelling image, personality and voice to build relevance and equity among target consumer audiences and maintain and improve the brand reputation of the company and its stakeholders.
• Effectively lead, develop, motivate and engage the team to deliver on KPI based marketing programs with speed and efficiency.
• Ensure a progressive digital presence through marketing agencies that drives consumer attraction, engagement, affinity and purchase.
• Execute marketing communication for all car lines in order to grow the brand and achieve short and long-term organization goals. Ensuring the brand remains in media news in alignment with the strategy.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Service and Customer Service team members to make sure all marketing promotions can be and are delivered with a high level of quality exceeding customer expectations. Build a trust-worthy and collaborative approach with channel partners to achieve the organization’s sales, marketing and service objectives.
• Work closely with the media and creative agency to conform to the marketing strategies and develop industry-benchmark communication for the brand.
• Develop and execute an integrated public relations/communication strategy in alignment with marketing and overall corporate objectives of the organization.
• Develop and drive a well-thought through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for Volvo Car India.
• Represent Volvo Car India in various external and internal forums for all marketing communication related areas.
Location: Gurgaon, India
Whilst this position is office based, this position does include travel (domestic and international) based on business requirements. We are currently operating as a hybrid model with fixed days in office and fixed days’ work from home, however, this may change as per company strategy on Health & Safety.
What you'll bring
Education & Experience
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience including experience of leading a team, preferably in a luxury brand and/ or Automotive Industry.
• Postgraduate / MBA in marketing, preferably from a premier management institute
• Experience in social media, CRM/ Loyalty Marketing, Customer Acquisition Funnel and Performance marketing.
• Understanding of digital tactics and how to strategically deploy them to generate customer demand.
• Experience of building a symbiotic partnership with sales and distribution partners.
