Join our Electrical Distribution System (EDS) team, where you'll play a pivotal role in the mechanical design and development of the vehicle's electrical 'nervous system'—the wiring harnesses. This opportunity will broaden your technical expertise in design and development and expand your network within the automotive industry.

 

Your Role:

 

As a Wiring Harness Design Engineer, you'll be instrumental in defining and developing our future galvanic electrical structure. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Designing and developing wiring harnesses within the engine bay and under body area, ensuring they meet electrical performance, EMC standards, and quality requirements.
  • Creating virtual harness models and corresponding 2D/3D drawings for specifications.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality harnesses manufactured according to design.
  • Conducting verifications to ensure robust performance of the solutions.
  • Working within a highly effective team to continuously develop new methods and be at the forefront of the industry.

 

Who We're Looking For?

 

We're seeking candidates passionate about mechanical installation design, materials in the electrical distribution system, and vehicle functions supported by specific harnesses. Ideal candidates will:

 

  • Have experience in designing and developing complex tasks within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Be skilled in using design tools, methods, and processes, with a preference for experience in Agile/VCAF framework.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on continuous improvements within the team.
  • Have experience with Catia V5, Electrical workbench 3DPMI, TCe, and TC Vis, System Weaver, or Car Weaver.
  • Knowledge in Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electrical Performance, and Electrical system design is meritorious.
  • Be fluent in English; comprehending Swedish and possessing a driving license (B) are advantageous.
  • Hold a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
