We are now seeking UX Design Manager - Core to join the UX team.


What you’ll do


You will be the design lead for a key part of the Volvo in-car ecosystem, focused on physical experiences in and around the car. You will manage a team of 6+ designers and researchers. You will collaborate with other design leads and stakeholders as you work to provide a well functioning and efficient team. You will work within the UX organization on strategy and planning. You and your team need to advocate for the user, create a delightful, cohesive user experience with a high quality of craft.


You and your skills


We are looking for an experienced designer and design manager with 6+ years of experience working on the intersection of software and hardware. You have managed multi-disciplinary teams before. You are a great interaction designer, understand ergonomics and industrial design and understand research methodologies. You have experience defining physical interactions in consumer products. You have a proven track record of delivering designs on time and contributing to a high performing product. You have experience managing stakeholders from different organizations. Automotive experience is preferred.
