Treasury Settlement Analyst - Summer worker

Each year, Volvo Cars welcome students as Summer Interns to our sites in Gothenburg, Olofström, Skövde och Lund. As a Summer Intern at Volvo Cars you can work in production, in one of our storages or at the office. Spending a few weeks in our team is a great way for you to get an insight to what life at Volvo Cars can be like and gives you a basic understanding of our operations. It also provides you with a strong network in our organization, which can be of value in your future career.  The number of Summer intern positions and work areas varies from year to year.

Group Treasury is the internal bank of Volvo Car Group and we are responsible for the financial risk management and cash management infrastructure. Group Treasury is also responsible for all trade finance and working capital financing solutions. 
 

We are now looking for a Summer Worker to join our team at Treasury Operations

What you'll do

As a Group Treasury Settlement Analyst, you will be joining a dynamic and ambitious Treasury team. You will have a main focus on Treasury Operations and our settlement operations.

 

Responsibility

  • Daily reconciliation of Treasury bank accounts and other bank accounts
  • Settlement of the financial market transactions within Group Treasury
  • Daily updating of the liquidity forecast and FX position data in Treasury Management System
  • Update and monitor cash forecast for the group.
  • Confirmation and settlement of all financial transactions
  • Working closely with our Cash & Bank team in Madrid.

 

The period for the summer internship is between 1 June – 31 August, max 10 weeks. Start and end time to be discussed with the recruiting manager.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone with strong attention to details, analytical skills and a proactive approach. You are fluent in English and good in communication both written and verbally. You should thrive and be comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment. Furthermore, you have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and across multiple internal and external stakeholders. You are also comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment.
 

Qualifications

  • Currently studying B.Sc. or M.Sc. in finance or equivalent
  • Genuine interest in customer quality

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

 

Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key.
