Background
Securing high quality on weight related data in the engineering systems is of great importance to support the organization with relevant data during the development process. Today a lot of effort is put on securing data availability and quality from the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems. This leads to high cost in engineering hours and risk of basing project decisions on data with low quality.
Scope
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools are developing rapidly, enabling large data analysis and training.
Based on existing data sources used for weight related analysis, perform data categorization and data analysis to secure high quality and availability of data related to weight.
Study possibility to use image recognition to improve ML model.
The goal is to develop a novel process and relevant tool to reduce the amount of manual effort needed for delivering weight related data to vehicle projects. Functions relevant could be anomaly detection of rare items which deviate significantly from the majority of the data and imputation to solve missing data.
