At Propulsion System Test Centre, we support the sustainability mission by being part of the commitment to rethink sustainability in our operations, in our cars, and in society. Our scope is to secure appropriate and efficient test facilities enabling testing, verification, and validation of batteries, power electronics, electric motors and transmission as well as NVH and tires.
We are expanding our EMC Lab capabilities, and we’re looking for a Test Engineer who is ready to contribute to building new labs and developing our existing facilities in a growing team. Then the role as Test Engineer EMC Labs is the place for you to prosper. The work requires both practical and theoretical skills.
What you'll do
Planning and execution of measurement tasks based on internal customer needs. Prepare test objects with test equipment, both hardware and software. Package, process and deliver test data in a quality assured way. Responsible for maintenance of the rig/ equipment. Conduct operational development within the test area or test rig of interest. Make time estimations for test plans.You will be responsible for the daily operation of the test facilities, including ensuring that all test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
You will develop automated test systems, program test cycles, and evaluate test results. The role also involves troubleshooting and problem solving, making an open and solution-oriented mindset essential. You will further develop your expertise by contributing to the development and specification of test methods, as well as by working with new test equipment and software.
You will be part of the EMC laboratory team, working in close collaboration with development engineers and EMC test colleagues across multiple stakeholder groups. The position offers opportunities to build a broad network within Engineering and the laboratory organization. Currently we are in a start up phase of this lab and you will part of developing processes and setting our ways of working.
What you'll bring
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics, preferably within power electronics and/or electromagnetics
• Strong EMC competence and hands-on experience in testing and verification of components, systems, and vehicles
• Experience in software and hardware validation & verification and test method development
• Knowledge of embedded programming and scripting (C, Python)
• Hands-on experience with test environments, laboratory equipment, setup, safety, and procedures
• Experience with tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer, INCA, Indicom, Dewesoft, MATLAB/Simulink, and Ethernet
• Proven ability to set up, troubleshoot, and fault-trace complex lab and test systems
• Used to working in an international environment; fluent in English
