What do we offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars’ Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicle as well as in component form. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, inverters, batteries, transmissions, as well as aerodynamic and climatic testing. Our work includes hardware- and software preparation of testing, test execution and processing of measurement data. We also develop and build new test facilities.


What You’ll Do
You will lead a team of test engineers and together with them be responsible for Powerpack system.  

You will perform the planning for external and internal testing, drive the different test from request, implementation, test and delivery of data.
As a test leader/team leader, a major task will be to plant the test both with our stakeholders and the different teams.

You will have a close collaboration with the Team Managers, team and other interfacing teams.


The Powertrain Lab consist of several independent labs. We perform tests for complete vehicle testing on chassis dyno, mileage accumulation, tire testing and Powerpack & Transmissions lab (PVTR). We work tight together with our ART colleagues to develop and verify our products.

 

Skills & Experience are Important                                                                          

To do this you need to use the knowledge of the team but also learn the technical details of each testbed and the different tests
You need to have experience from project leader, a master or bachelor degree within an technical area.

The role requires good leadership skills and collaboration skills.
It is very beneficial if you have experience of verification and automotive.
As a person you are creative and lookout for new opportunities and think outside the box.

You should be able to create a purpose for the team and share the lab vision.
