Who we are
At ART Base Availability Services (BAS) we are looking for an System Design Engineer to join our Manage Electrical Energy team. The team is responsible for developing Core System Platform apps for different functions such as, optimization of energy and power usage in the car. The responsibility spans from early concept to industrialization and follow-up in the field. The team is cross-functional and responsible for system design, system safety, SW development and verification.

You need to present the results in a structured and understandable way and take ownership of the product. You embrace teamwork, and collaboration and are eager to learn and develop new competencies. Experience working in the automotive or telecom industry is a clear advantage for succeeding in this role. You have a BSc degree or higher in Software- or/and Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. +5 years of system design, strong communication skills and EU driver's license B.
In addition, you will need experience and competence in the following areas:
- System design with distributed large systems
- System safety
- Software development
It will be meritorious to have knowledge/experience in the following:
- Elektra
- CarWeaver/SystemWeaver
- Testing
- Automotive bus communication protocols e.g. CAN, Flexray, Ethernet, SOME/IP
- Experience in power electronics.
What will you do?
Your main focus will be within system design and function specification. You will be part of writing system documentation, requirement management, review and sign-off technical documentation.
You will work in close collaboration with other competences and contribute to each other within the areas of software-, system- and hardware engineering.
You will lead the development of the concept solution, which means a strategy and structure to balance energy consumption for the complete electrical system during all phases of life. The work also involves monitoring implementations in ongoing car programs to secure feedback to the concept solution. You will work in close collaboration with a broad spectrum of competences within HW, SW and System engineering – expanding your knowledge within many different fields.
