In our Corporate Worklife area, we support our Corporate Functions with digital deliveries. We are searching for a Cluster System Architect to our Legal & Governance product cluster.
Legal & Governance manages the application portfolio for the stakeholders within Group Legal & Corporate Governance office. The business units include Legal, Intellectual Property, Compliance & Ethics and the Corporate Development & Governance Office.
The System Architect will have an integral part in the solution design and delivery, working closely with the Product Manager, Product Owners and the extended Solution Architect community.
Main responsibilities
The Cluster System Architect has the responsibility to ensure alignment of technical design, and implementation, of the application portfolio to align with the agreed architecture and development guidelines at Volvo Cars, including harmonizing the technical solutions across the products. The role will deliver automation to increase business value and initiate continues improvements and ensure that application management adheres to the ITIL core processes at Volvo Cars, focusing on enabling efficient operations. The role includes creating and owning the relevant technical documentation, and to be the go-to person for all technical related items and collaborate with other product teams connecting to the product cluster.
Experience
Background of the candidate could be roles like Service Manager, Application Manager or other relevant Tech Lead experience, and have experience of the following:
· IT Service Management: ITIL Core processer (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Service Level Management)
· Operative System (Unix/Linux), Relational databases, Amazon Web Services (AWS) practitioner, Network (TCP/IP, Campus network), IT Security (IAM, Firewall, VPN, Security Incidents) and Test.
· Understanding and manage the COTS & SaaS applications and how they relate to the User Community and technical set-up
· Will be required to work individually to build processes, but also in collaboration with other team members. Accountability is key.
· Ability to create and develop a professional network with solution architects, peers, stakeholders and other key contacts internally and externally. Being willing and curios towards developing a T-shaped profile by expanding knowledge into at least one other specializations.
· Experience and interest to work with IT security
· Volvo Car experience and an understanding of applying and following Agile working method, and agile practices is key
· Interested in solving issues, big and small.
· Providing specific deep technical competence
· Continuously validating the requirements and deliverables within the product(s) or service(s) where the engineer is working.
· Participating in developing work methods, processes, procedures and other applicable to enable sensible consistency across teams.
· Actively participating in experimentation and innovation to bring accelerating value and understanding to myself, the team, the chapter and in communities of practice.
· Providing input for the design and construction of test cases and scenarios and help validate executed test results. Provide deep technical insight to the team members in the scrum team while they are building and testing
· Together with the PO and BA in a scrum team the Tech Lead will ensure that knowledge about the solution and setup developed in the scrum team are understood and documented if the team should be disbanded for any reason. Documentation and visualization skills with significant ability to communicate complex aspects within area of specialization.
· Acting as a partner with peers in a distributed environment with a multi-vendor and multi-cultural setting.
· Being curious and open-minded.
· Continuous aiming to develop skillsets by networking internally and externally.
· Understanding and showing an interest in the user needs and user journey for the product teams outcomes.
· Fluency in English.
· Ability to work with ambiguity and continuously converge towards wanted solutions.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate and solve complex problems from different perspectives.
· Capacity to identify, mitigate and decide on solutions when facing obstacles in your assignment.
