What you'll do

The purpose of the central function is to ensure outbound distribution for our cars from our plants to our dealers in Europe. This function is critical to manage the timely shipping of cars on a daily basis. We are mandated and have a commitment to deliver on time, on budget with a service mind-set.

The role, Transport Operations Summer worker, is operational with responsibility across a wide range of business areas within Volvo Cars and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

You will monitor and drive carrier transport performance and lead Carrier Management to improve operational performance and interact with stakeholders within Volvo Cars and Importers and drive process improvements.

You will also, Monitor KPI’s of appointed carriers and carry out regular reviews, Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders to facilitate a positive working environment, ensure support to colleagues when needed/requested and contribute to a positive team working environment, Execute car deliveries for Volvo Cars and affiliates.

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate is a student with focus on logistics and have a good understanding of the European transport market. You will need to be a quick learner and goo interpersonal skills and be fluent in English as this is our cooperate language.

We believe you have a strong knowledge and experience in MS Excel and have proven ability to be accurate and detail oriented. You have your strength in prioritization and also to work creatively and analytically with a problem-solving approach.
