What you'll do


As a summer worker You will be a part of Inbound Logistics EMEA and Rest of the World team. Together with the rest of the team you will ensure that all production, aftermarket material and packaging transported by sea, air and road will arrive on time and according to plan to our production sites within Europe. You will work both proactive and with problem solving when a deviation is a fact, all to secure the running of Volvo Cars production. 


Your ideas are welcome to work on daily improvements and development of our processes and way of working.

What you'll bring


You are studying Logistics and Supply Chain. You’re interested in transportation. We work in a high-paced environment, we believe its beneficial for you to have the ability and strength in prioritization and have the ability to work creatively and analytically with a problem-solving approach. We believe you have knowledge and experience in MS Excel and understand the basics of planning and resource allocation.


We also believe that you can think outside the box and are eager to see the broader picture in all you do.

Qualifications:

  • Ongoing or finished degree within supply chain/logistics or equivalent relevant working experience (including ocean and air transport) is a plus. Fluent English speaking and writing skills is mandatory.
  • If you have an operational background and/or experience in logistic processes, transportation (road, sea and/or air freight) or forwarding business, that knowledge is highly beneficial.
