Solution Architect - Sales & Operations Planning

Can you engineer a brighter tomorrow?

It’s crystal clear: the actions we take in the next few years will significantly impact our future. At Volvo Cars, we embrace change. We’re committed to transforming the automotive industry and leading in electrification. For this, we’re seeking out more creative minds to shape that future. Don’t miss this opportunity to create your tomorrow.

What we're looking for

We're seeking for a talented Solution Architect who can serve as a technology expert and who is collaborating closely with product teams to deliver exceptional business value. Our ideal candidate thrives on collaboration, brings clarity to complex challenges, and guides others through uncertainty. If you're energized by creativity, solution-oriented thinking, and maybe even a touch of humor, we’ll support your growth and success.

What’s in it for you?

You will join the Order Management & Planning product cluster within Supply Chain Digital at Volvo Cars. This product cluster delivers digital solutions that improve stability and consistency in the production plan, which will enable us to provide shorter and more accurate lead times to our customers. You will be part of the journey as we deliver on our company’s vision and ensure high flow through our factories.

Our way of working is agile and as such we test, we fail, and we learn. However, we’re not religious about it and are constantly evaluating how to work in the best way, applying common sense to ensure as little waste as possible. In the end, we care deeply about the quality of our work and the users it affects. We ensure high quality and adaptability in our delivery, and we use modern tools and innovations to create business value continuously. Collaboration is the key, and of course, we’re making sure to have fun while doing it.

What you will do

As a Solution Architect, you will collaborate with digital product teams and business peers within the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D domains. Your role is pivotal in designing and delivering architecture solutions by translating business and technical requirements. You understand complex problems and find potential solutions, accurately defining issues and requirements. You assess technical needs during implementation and stay updated on new technologies and solutions. You communicate regularly with IT specialists and Enterprise Architects to develop and implement complex solutions. You are a key voice in decisions related to Buy vs. Build, always considering the end-to-end perspective to avoid sub-optimization. You act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You ensure alignment of individual software projects with overall business strategy and technology standards. You review and validate solution designs from other team members.

Your skills

  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning Solutions such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, and the like, preferably within the Automotive industry.
  • Experience in platforms like Kinaxis RapidResponse or Kinaxis Maestro and SAP S4, as well as complex, cloud-based solutions (ideally in Azure).
  • Possess a good understanding of data management, data modeling, key control settings, and analytics,
  • Proficient in enterprise architecture, process modeling, and API design.
  • Ability to communicate both low-level implementation details and high-level abstract concepts.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

You as a person

We believe that you are user-focused, passionate about solving their problems, and open to new ideas. Your energy, forward-thinking mindset, and ability to inspire others make you an invaluable team member.
