The team has many function development opportunities which can be developed through advanced engineering and research projects.
In our daily work, we work in an agile team with 7 – 9 members with different roles & responsibilities. We own our functions from the very beginning, from concept phase until our cars ends its production.
The tyre monitoring team focus on tyre monitoring technologies such as TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) and other Advanced Engineering related functions. We are a relatively small team; thus, every team member makes a difference, and you can see your contribution on the end product. We also work in close collaboration with other teams and suppliers to make sure that the tyre monitoring technologies are implemented according to Volvo Cars requirements.
What you'll do
Scope
You will work with tyre monitoring technologies, and you will have the opportunity to contribute in the design, software development, implementation, test and verification activities regarding new functionalities in close cooperation with other team members. You can provide new ideas to continuously improve the product and product portfolio.
Main tasks
Tire Monitoring Test Engineer:
• Analyze test need based on requirements test analysis and test description.
• Creating test specifications based on test description and requirement analysis.
• Perform manual testing.
• Perform fault tracing related to domain in different test environments such as component/domain and vehicle level.
• Support developing ART in integration testing, correction and fault tracing.
• Write and follow up fault reports on issues found in the rigs/cars.
• Write test reports and present test results.
• Continuously work with improvements on tests, methods and tools. Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation and HIL development.
• Design, develop and run automated testcases based on test specifications.
• Maintain testcases and ensure regression tests are always up to date. Maintain and improve the testing infrastructure with regards to simulations and plant models.
• Actively learning and gaining knowledge within domain and complete HIL.
• Collaborate with development teams to Design and Construct HILs according to needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the HIL infrastructure.
• Perform verification activities in vehicles at test tracks and roads in Sweden or other parts of the world.
• Trace root-cause of problems through hardware,software, logs and analysing tools
• Signal analysis of the data from vehicle´s sensors and actuators.
• Function performance sign-off
• Requirement management and documentation of test results.
• System Safety validation
What you'll bring
Competence Requirements
• Bachelors degree in software engineering or electrical engineering or mechanical/mechatronic engineering or automotive engineering and equivalent work life experience.
• Minimum 3 Year’s of experience from automotive product development and software development & testing & verification.
• Good knowledge of automotive manufacturing process.
• Analytical ability.
• Communication skills.
• Experience of SystemWeaver and/or CarWeaver.
• Experience of C and/or C++ programming.
• Automotive software testing experience
• Automotive communication protocols.
The successful applicant must possess a B Class driving license
