Within Quality & Compliance Digital, we are responsible for enabling digital solutions that support Volvo Cars’ compliance landscape, including Software Update Management Systems (SUMS), certification processes, and data governance.

Our main objective is to secure robust, traceable, and compliant digital systems that support both engineering and regulatory requirements.

The responsibility area includes:

  • Compliance platforms (development, reporting, audit trails, regulatory alignment)
  • Data quality services (data validation, monitoring, upstream quality improvements)
  • Requirements & traceability (requirements management, auditability, documentation)
  • Digital certification support (process enablement, workflow tooling, reporting)
  • DevSecOps & platform integration (secure development practices, CI/CD integration)
  • Test & validation data support (data consistency, reporting, traceability)
  • Process automation for securing robust data flows
  • Emerging technologies (including GenAI PoCs and digital innovation supporting compliance and efficiency)

What you'll do


Our main goal is to make compliance and quality processes more efficient by providing digital solutions and automation.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop and rollout digital solutions that support compliance processes, data quality initiatives, and regulatory workflows across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with other developers, testers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to introduce and mature digital capabilities within our processes and services. You will often demo solutions for managers, developers, testers and others.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Design, develop, and rollout services used across Quality & Compliance Digital
  • Develop software, mainly in .Net,Java & React
  • See the bigger picture of each product, not only write the code
  • Ensure that stakeholders throughout the organization understand the value and benefits of our solutions
  • Demo solutions for managers, developers and testers
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and investigate how new tools and technologies can make compliance and quality processes more efficient
  • Work with parsing, structuring, and validating large and diverse data sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce solutions into existing CI/CD, testing, and compliance processes
  • Document solutions, share knowledge, and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What you'll bring

 

  • Strong interest in building digital solutions supporting compliance, data quality, and traceability
  • Proven experience of working with complex or exploratory software projects
  • Software engineering skills with experience in .Net and Java
  • Experience of requirements handling and requirements database management
  • Solid experience building backend services and APIs, preferably in a serverless environment
  • Experience working with Azure
  • Understanding of backend architecture, scalability, and maintainability
  • Experience of frontend development
  • Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, SQL, COSMOS DB
  • Familiarity with data-driven systems, including data handling, validation, and traceability
  • Experience designing and implementing data processing workflows
  • Ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from design to production
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
