We are a group of engineers with lot of energy and great collaboration working together on delivering Overhead console and reading lamps including technology to detect people inside the car.
Roof Zone Module group is a part of Interior Trim & Systems department consisting of approximately 130 engineers organized into groups developing components and functions within the following areas: Internal Perception, Interior Lighting, Acoustics & Floor, Compartment Trim & Overhead system, Accessories & Special Vehicles and Roof.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with System Designers, Software Developers, and Testers to deliver integrated functions within the Overhead Console and Reading Lamps.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading software development for vehicle programs, both in-house at Volvo Car Group and with suppliers.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Project Managers, Testers, System Designers, and Developers.
- Supporting System Designers with sub-system structure definitions and requirements.
- Planning and facilitating the software delivery process for supplier software.
- Conducting joint reviews and delivery reviews for software according to the project plan.
- Sharing requirements and extracts with suppliers.
- Monitoring the technical development and quality of components with suppliers, including fault reports.
- Validating delivery documentation from suppliers.
What you'll bring
We are looking for candidates with a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electronics, Software, Mechatronics, or a related field. You should have previous experience in leading projects and developing software. You should be able to build good relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers. You need to have the capacity to drive several issues simultaneously and work in a structured way.
It's good if you have:
- Experience in Software Architecture Design.
- Familiarity with tools such as Teamcenter/TCPLM, KDP, Carcom, Confighub, SystemWeaver, and PIE for R&D.
