What you’ll do

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer within our Car UX organisation to to expand our System team, the group of designers responsible for researching, defining, and overseeing the implementation of the core infotainment system as well as the Design System use for all Volvo cars.

 

  • You will be part of defining and building a safe and effortless experience for our users, to make the car their own
  • Your responsibilities will include identifying problems to be solved, mapping out desirable and feasible solutions for our users through e.g. utilising as user journeys and prototyping that balance design aesthetics with intuitive functionality
  • You will collaborate with other designers to ensure a seamless customer experience across Volvo’s digital landscape
  • As part of a product team, you will communicate designs, ideas, and rationale with your team using data and customer insights
  • As a designer, you advocate for the user and develop a deep understanding of our customer needs and pain-points, serving as an expert for your product team and developing ideas for new and enhanced features

 

What you’ll bring

You are a versatile designer who is seasoned in the use of a full range of skills— product design, interaction design, and visual design or prototyping — to ensure you deliver magical experiences to the customer.

 

  • Proven experience in designing for a consumer-focused tech company, you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills - you have the ability to collaborate with multiple different stakeholders, from UX to marketing and engineering
  • Experience in developing UX for an operating system, as well as experience working in Figma
  • Ability to inspire teams towards action and empathy for the user
  • You have a people-focused design mentality, constantly looking to hone your design instinct through user feedback, whether that’s hands-on user research or a quantitative A/B test

 

Location

Gothenburg HQ or Stockholm Tech Hub.
