What's in it for you?
At the DevOps Engineering Services department, we are responsible for the design and delivery of technical solutions for DevOps Engineering Services. You will be part of the Observability team that mainly works with Elastic Stack, Grafana & Backstage. We promote modern DevOps ways of working and are responsible for supporting shared DevOps toolchains at an enterprise scale.
You will be a member of an agile team capturing and completing work using backlog items and tasks on a sprint basis. The expected outcome from the assignment is increased adoption and active daily users of the solutions we evolve and support. Since we are working according to DevOps the assignment consists of both development and operational work including on-call once every 6th week. There will be an emphasis on DevOps automated monitoring and event management, an area where there is a lot of room for innovation and opportunities to make a significant difference for many users.
What you’ll do:
• Hands-on work on observability tools, like ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, InfluxDB, and Azure Cloud.
• Close collaboration with the Product Owner of our Observability team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, PI Planning, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to discussions with stakeholders in Microsoft Teams channels.
• Demo prototypes and MVP-style solutions, low-fi mockups, etc.
Who you are:
We are looking for you who have experience as a DevOps Engineer and at least five years of recent programming experience with Python or GoLang, GIT (version control), Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, and Elastic Search. You possess experience with agile planning and estimation using Scrum. In addition, you have had some exposure to OpenSearch and some experience with being on-call and automated monitoring and incident management. Last but not least, you are proficient in English (written and spoken).
As a person, is natural for you to be diplomatic, persuasive, motivated, outcome-oriented, Resilient, strategic, and possess some enterprise thinking.
The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
