We are seeking an experienced SAP Operations Lead to join our dynamic team in the ERP Center of Excellence at Volvo Cars. As the SAP Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our SAP operations, ensuring a successful implementation and maintenance of SAP solutions across Volvo Cars.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our business teams to understand how SAP supports our business and at the same time make sure we are building solutions that align with our strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for leading a team of SAP professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure an efficient and effective delivery of operations.

What you’ll do

As an SAP Operations Lead, you will ensure the stability and availability of our SAP landscape. This includes meticulously managing SLAs and KPIs to guarantee the seamless execution of operational deliveries. Moreover, you will manage and prioritize project deliverables, timelines, and resources, ensuring successful project execution.

In your capacity, you will be responsible for providing an uninterrupted business experience for factories, commercial operations, and other SAP-dependent functions across the organization. You oversee the SAP project lifecycle, including scoping, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

You will also be tasked with creating annual roadmaps for cybersecurity patching, SAP version upgrades, and non-production system refreshes. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of planned maintenance activities in alignment with PI (Program Increment) planning. 

Change management, problem management, and conducting thorough root cause analysis will also be an essential part of your work.

You will ensure that database backups, disaster recovery plans (DRP), and infrastructure recovery plans (IRP) are secure and regularly audited, which is crucial to maintaining a fully sustainable SAP environment that supports the business operations of Volvo Cars.

You will provide guidance and support to a team of SAP professionals, ensuring their continuous development and adherence to best practices. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, gathering and analyze business requirements, as well as ensuring the development of customized SAP solutions that meet organizational needs, are part of your key responsibilities. 

Lastly, you stay up to date with the latest SAP trends and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our business and recommending relevant solutions.

Location for this role: Gothenburg.

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong background in SAP operations. You have a proven track record of successfully leading SAP operations and working with different SAP modules and processes. We see excellent leadership, communication and project management skills together with technical knowledge about SAP as a winning combination.

On top of the above, we believe that you have:

·    A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
·    An ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
·    A solid understanding of SAP implementation methodologies and best practices.
·    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex SAP issues.
·    Knowledge of industry-related regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
·    Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
