What we do

Volvo Cars has established a central function to manage the company’s Used Cars and Remarketing operations. The team is working in close collaboration with the wider business on global matters.

Volvo Global Used Cars and Remarketing is now looking for a new Remarketing Specialist, Global Export and Trade (E&T), who will support the Manager, Global Used Cars Export and Trade and global export and trade operations, working in close collaboration with the National Sales Companies (NSC’s) and various central functions.  You will work in an area with significant impact on the company’s short-term business as well as long-term strategies. You will work closely with and under the guidance of the Manager, Global Used Cars Export and Trade Operations.


What will you do?

The Remarketing Specialist, Global Export and Trade will conduct the weekly online international cross-border auctions and the approved online methods for selling vehicles internationally, cross-border. You will summarize the sales results and analyze the data as required, for example, to measure against the agreed KPI. Currently your summaries and analysis will be supporting 26 countries that participate in the Global Export and Trade. As new countries and regions are added to the Global Export and Trade operations you will do this for them as well.

 

A majority of your job will be to support the Manager, Global Export & Trade Operations by conducting the weekly online international cross-border auctions and other agreed online sales methods. You should expect a collaborative and fast-moving work environment where your responsibilities related to the online international cross-border auctions and sales include:

  • Conducting the weekly international cross-border auctions and other approved online cross-border sales methods in close cooperation with the NSC’s where retailers from different countries can bid and buy vehicles.
  • Create the reports that are required as part of summarizing the international cross-border online sales results at the end of each auction, weekly, monthly, annually, and as required (to support the overall operational needs).
  • Calculation and/or summarizing of the Global Export and Trade KPI at the end of each auction, weekly, monthly, annually, and as required.
  • Contact person for NSC that may have questions about the online auctions and sales that you have conducted.
  • Support to the Manager, Global Export and Trade Operations as required.

 

In addition to your specific job responsibilities listed above, you will also be involved with other topics within the Global Used Cars and Remarketing scope.
 

Do you fit the profile?

  • You are experienced working in Remarketing Operations or Sales on international level.
  • You are comfortable in working across organizational barriers to “get things done”.
  • You have a curiosity and capacity to learn new topics and to adapt where needed.
  • You have solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You feel comfortable working hands-on yourself whilst being deeply integrated in our multi-national team.
  • You have a strong integrity and an ability to take initiative on what you believe is right.
