What you'll do

In this role, you will design, integrate, and improve quality systems and processes to enhance efficiency and maintain cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with other professionals to refine product and process designs, increasing producibility and flow while reducing costs and improving quality. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and specifying process design methods, developing engineering solutions, and contributing to the drafting and evaluation of engineering standards. You will carry out inspections to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements, and recommend remedial actions where necessary. Additionally, you will manage day-to-day relationships with contract service providers, ensuring outcomes align with the established contract management plan.

You will also drive quality improvements across the software development lifecycle by identifying process gaps, implementing improvement plans, and aligning strategies with central quality teams. You will address quality-related topics throughout the entire lifecycle of current and future models, support milestone recommendations, and facilitate knowledge transfer between Function Model Quality (FMQ) and Component Model Quality (CMQ). Teaching, coaching, and addressing competence gaps will be key aspects of your role, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence within the team.

Who You Are

You have extensive experience in in-house product development, with a strong understanding of the software development process from concept to deployment, including quality assurance. You are familiar with large-scale programs that encompass software, hardware, and mechatronics, and you excel in engaging with diverse stakeholders. You bring expertise in process design engineering, standards specification, and engineering inspections, and have a proven ability to manage contracts effectively. With a solid background in project management and agile environments, you are a strong communicator and presenter with an understanding of cloud, telematics, mobile app, and embedded development. You are driven by a passion for quality, capable of identifying gaps, coaching teams, and delivering exceptional results through a combination of technical skill and collaborative leadership.
