What you’ll do

 

We are offering a great opportunity to work within Global Standard Packaging Engineering which is a global team with regional representatives in APAC, EMEA and the US.  You will be working closely with the new car development program to secure the packaging engineering function is fulfilled through the value chain between material supplier and manufacturing plant.

 

This role will be located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and will have global project responsibility. You will manage the car program deliverables through concept development, industrialization and handing over phase from a packaging engineering perspective. As a project manager, you will coordinate with our engineering resources located in APAC, EMEA and US as well as the cross functional team through the entire car development period.

 

Main tasks:

  • Define detailed timeplan for Packaging development and planning of suitable resource to secure deliveries from the global packaging team in accordance with overall program plan.
  • Responsible for Packaging status (KPI’s) as well as deliveries in accordance with logic plan to Program Office.
  • Share/distribute Program information with all concerned Packaging Engineers. Secure that the packaging engineering activity is fully aligned, and support the program deliverables.
  • Technical support to the Packaging Engineers for escalated issues.
  • Secure packaging solution alignment with plant and procurement as well as making sure that verification activities are planned and conducted as part of project scope.
  • Escalate Packaging deviations in terms of cost, planning and quality to the Program Office.
  • Collaborate and align with stakeholders through our value chain in view of Packaging Program deliveries.
  • Lead packaging improvement projects eg process development, cost saving activities, digitalization.

 

What you‘ll bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics engineering or packaging engineering will be preferred.
  • Working experience within logistics engineering or packaging engineering for minimum 5 years, automotive industry will be preferred.
  • Project management experience will be preferred.
  • Good planning capability and ability to secure the alignment.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Able to balance between multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage ambugity.
  • Result-driven.
