Who we are
At Software Engineering Office we are responsible for the execution of the complete software deliveries and activities cross Engineering. We secure the program for complete software and own the Software execution plan. The Software execution and operations team, as a part of SW Engineering Office, ensure the foundation for excellent execution as status reporting, documentation, structure and containable plans, both short term and long term. We support all aspects of the programs daily work. You will join a team with great culture and collaboration and gain exposure to stakeholders and managers all over Volvo Cars Software community.
What you’ll do
You will work together with different SW Program Management teams to support them hands on. You will work in a high tempo environment with a pragmatic approach.
You will provide information and status to ensure transparency. You will ensure available data for proper decision taking. You will document decisions, status and information in a structured way. You will follow up and drive action points from meeting protocols and secure proper invite and attendance. You follow up maturity and status of the technical development to track progress. You will secure that gate and milestone reports are filled in and delivered in time. You will also take on specific temporary assignments within SW program and SW improvement initiatives as a driver.
Who you are
Competence is important, but personality is key! To thrive in this position, we believe you are a person with drive and sense of ownership. You easily grasp technical concepts in complex systems and have good technical understanding to be able to have a high learning aptitude. You have a proven track record of building information flow and creating networks needed for efficient collaborations. If we ask former colleagues of you, they will likely also describe you as structured, well organized with high drive and self-motivation. You should easily apply your knowledge operationally with high efficiency.
What you should have:
- MSc in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience working within software and system development, preferably from the automotive industry.
- Experience working with SW development programs, both using agile working methods and agile project leading as well as traditional project, waterfall models.
- Experience in our information and documentation systems as Confluence and Sharepoint, PowerBI and commercially know requirement management systems.
- Proficiency in English language
