The team and the offer
The Shop Engineering - Casting/Machining team is now recruiting a new member for the position as Process Specialist – Machining line. You will be given the opportunity to participate and build up the technology organization from the ground up within your competence area.
Your contribution
The purpose is to act as an expert within the specific technical competence area focusing on maintaining, optimizing, and improving existing technical systems and processes within the factory’s production operations. This engineering role is vital for ensuring the longevity, efficiency, and continual enhancement of the factory’s production processes, emphasizing maintenance, improvement, and operational excellence.
Purpose: Provide extensive expertise and leadership, responsible for strategic initiatives and mentoring
Responsibilities: Oversee strategic system maintenance and enhancements, lead major improvement initiatives, offer expert troubleshooting, conduct comprehensive process evaluations, ensure operational excellence, and ensure compliance with safety standards
Maintenance and Optimization: Oversee and improve the ongoing maintenance and optimization of existing technical systems to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the technical domain, applying lean principles and problem-solving methodologies
Technical Troubleshooting: Provide expert troubleshooting and problem-solving for technical issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing system performance
Process Evaluation and Enhancement: Regularly evaluate production processes and systems, implementing enhancements to improve quality and efficiency
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other engineering teams, production staff, and maintenance teams to coordinate improvements and ensure seamless operations
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all technical operations comply with industry safety standards and best practices, conducting regular reviews and updates
What you´ll bring
A prerequisite for success within the Shop Engineering organization is a genuine interest in technology and an understanding of the importance of a good safety culture. We believe that you university degree with a focus on technology/maintenance, alternatively a proven track record from practical experience within the aluminum casting environment. We are searching for you who are unpretentious, like to collaborate and have a genuine service mindset. Being able to communicate in Swedish and/or English, in both speech and writing, is a prerequisite.
