Senior Supply Chain Business Process Architect (Procure to Pay)

Until 2018 the Volvo Cars business model has more or less remained the same i.e. relying on our authorized retailer network to take care of the customer journey of new vehicle sales and the car service business (aftersales). However, since 2018 our traditional business model has been challenged by our commercial transformation strategy focusing on Growth, Electric and Online business. At that time, PS&L started to design its supply chain to meet the new requirements.

 

Job Description

To secure an efficient and uninterrupted supply of spare parts and accessories to all our markets and customers, the PS&L supply chain network capabilities needs to be further aligned with tomorrow’s requirements. The commercial transformation requirements on the aftermarket supply chain continuous to accelerate and we need to strengthen our team to support to design the next generation spare part Supply Chain within the area of Procure to Pay (making spare parts available for customer orders regardless customer order point in the Supply Chain). This in order to meet growing volumes, new car technology that requires a new set of components to be handled in our supply chain and high focus on cost and capital tied up requires a new set of supply chain capabilities. Therefore, we need to strengthen our team with a Senior Supply Chain Business Process Architect within the area of Procure to Pay.

-You have an strategic mindset rooted in strong analytic, theoretical and practical knowledge, strong sense of delivery and a personal eagerness to accomplish results.
-You have previous experience from working as a business process architect, IT solution architect or business process owner, and can maneuver efficient in an environment with low or no process documentation. 
-It is a requirement you hold an MSc in Supply Chain & Logistics / Industrial / Mechanical engineering or similar fields.  

 

Responsibilities: 

To take an active role in strategy formulation of the PS&L Global Supply Chain related to the procure to pay process. For PS&L the Procure to Pay process spans over three main areas: Phasing in new parts, Procuring parts from suppliers to our Central Distribution Centers and refilling our Local Distribution Centers. 

To play a vital role in linking the strategy with the restructuring of both business and IT processes and development of holistic, multidimensional business architecture to achieve an organization’s goals and solutions.

To design a best-in-class supply chain from a flow perspective by identifying the most optimal design from a physical, financial and information flow perspective. You will translate processes supported by legacy IT systems into next generation processes supported by new technology.

You will work together with other Process and Business owners as well as the Logistic management team to align PS&L strategy end to end. Initiate process changes and projects that then will either be handed over to operation or dedicated project managers for development and implementation.
Be a spokesperson for PS&L in process discussions with departments such as R&D, Purchasing, Digital etc. in the Procure to Pay process.
