Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is the unit within Volvo Car Group that is responsible for all commercial activities in the EMEA markets, through our National Sales Companies, Importers and Retail Partners.


What you will do

Volvo Cars EMEA is looking for a Paid Search Specialist to join the digital marketing team. The digital marketing team belongs to EMEA Marketing & Communication responsible for Social Media, CRM, MarTech, Campaign management, media planning & strategy, Digital consumer experience and internal/external communication. We are looking for someone who has both passion and proven expertise in paid search.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and a desire to work in fast-paced environments to dramatically accelerate new business growth.

 

The core contribution of this role is to provide best in class search and performance marketing operations. Work process will build on hypothesis based testing where learnings are shared throughout Volvo Cars by thorough documentation. In the role you will be involved in weekly meetings with local stakeholders from our national sales companies (NSC’s) why previous experience in a customer facing role is a plus.

 

You will ensure channel spend stays within set targets and optimizes performance both toward long term targets and tactical sales goals as well as create and execute test hypothesis and thoroughly document any learnings from these continuously setting new standards for company best-practice. In parallel you will also ensure channel is continuously optimized toward sales / subscription / lease which - given the omni-channel nature of the business - involves certain research and analysis.

 

You will communicate learnings and best practice guidelines across EMEA creating a community of shared expertise. Maintaining high cost efficiency through continuous improvement of Quality Score, conversion rates and CPC levels is key in this role. You will Increase channel automation towards optimized time management and ROI and make sure channel account and campaign setup enhances makes sense both from ROI and account management perspective. This role will control and enhance conversion tracking precision as well as Improve processes and routines within SEA. You are to proactively research new tools and tech that can help us take the channel to the next level.

 

In addition to your main responsibilities you will support larger product launches and brand building campaigns. You will also collaborate with SEO and content creation to identify and fill content gaps on website, collaborate with analytics / web development for suggestions on new A/B tests on-site as well as collaborate with data strategy / mar-tech as a stakeholder to centrally created audiences and data-sharing into paid search platform.


Who you are

Your skill will need to demonstrate the ability to successfully execute large-scale paid search management in highly complex accounts as well as operate within an omni-channel environment with large part of sales happening offline. You should have a minimum 3 years’ experience management in paid search channel and have strong analytical skills with the ability to make rapid decisions grounded in data and metrics; knowledge of success metrics, behavioural and demographic targeting and ROI-driven optimization techniques.

 

You should have a strategic mind-set and the ability to draw key insights from analytics to make key business decisions. There needs to be an ability to connect high level business objectives to specific tactics and the technology behind them. You will bring experience from a directly customer facing role and as a result you are Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO, SEA, Programmatic and CRO. You should be proficient with Google Ads and Google Ads Editor and have solid experience working in SA360 and preferably also competitors to this tool. In addition you are also an advanced user of Google Analytics. You also have strong writing and presenting skills to make digital technology easy to understand to a non-tech business.

You are a strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to implement solid processes and an effective communicator with good ability to translate findings and insights to stakeholders in our national sales companies (NSC). You are also resourceful, proactive and results-oriented and have strong negotiating and influencing skills. You are curious about trends, new initiatives, and keeping up with the latest industry news as well as creative and analytical thinker that can identify & drive opportunities.
