In our department, Product Regulation & Compliance, we work with stakeholders both within and outside Volvo Cars and in the daily business, we collaborate with international technical service partners, Volvo colleagues and authority representatives on a daily basis. We cover numerous aspects of the vehicles and we are constantly challenged from both regulative or technology perspectives. Our daily tasks are to plan, prepare and ensure vehicle type approval to enable sales of our products on all markets where Volvo Cars is present. Besides the classical legal requirements we need to demonstrate by both testing and by technical descriptions. The vehicles are today able to be updated continuously and we ensure continuous compliance. What you'll do
You’ll work as an Homologation Release Engineer within several regulatory areas which means continuous dialogue with the engineering teams, testing teams and the Type Approval authorities. You are a person that have well proven leadership capabilities, good communication skills, collaborate well but are also interested in the daily operations. The main delivery is the Vehicle Type Approval Applications that is one of the last pieces that needs to be in place in order to start the sales of our vehicles. Therefore you need to enjoy the exposed working life which comes with the final approvals before we can start to manufacture the vehicles.
What you'll bring
We are looking for a colleague with regulatory experience. You have experience in cross-functional collaboration as well as a strong sense of business. To succeed in this role, it is an advantage to have working experience from engineering or testing teams within the automotive industry. You should have a degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience. You would also bring strong people management, collaboration and communication skills are essential when working in a diverse and international setting. It is also important that you are continuously developing your own skills and guide surrounding teams in homologation procedures.
