What you’ll do

At Manufacturing Engineering Propulsion Components, you will be a key contributor to the next generation fully electrical cars from Volvo Cars. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative manufacturing processes that makes the manufacturing of high voltage batteries and electrical driveline. The Concept Engineering group is part of Manufacturing Engineering Propulsion Components and work with manufacturing strategies, concepts in early phases of product and process development of all our batteries and electrical drivelines. This to ensure best manufacturability of our components and provide best process solutions. The team is located in Gothenburg and works globally towards all Volvo Car plants. It consists right now of about 14 people, but we are a growing organization.

In this position, you will be responsible for competence planning, recruitment, development of the organisation and employees to fulfil current and future needs. You will secure standardization and commonality between plants while striving for strategic fulfilment, common solutions and that lesson learned are incorporated in the daily work.

The role offers you a great opportunity to act in many different arenas and gives you a broad network throughout the company.

What you‘ll bring

In order to be successful in this position we see that you are comfortable in leading and developing people in a rapidly moving and changing environment. You are a team player and cooperate well in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment. You have a positive and proactive mindset, are honest and transparent in your communication and can put challenging targets on yourself and your organization.

We see that you possess the following experience:

- B.Sc /MSc degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

- Competence within Volvo Cars processes and tools

- Extended Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering experience

- Minimum 5 years work experience in Electric Motor Drive or High Voltage Battery system

- Managerial or program management experience.
