The Power Electronics Software department at Volvo Cars is proud of being one of the most successful players within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering system solutions and SW functionality for the power electronics in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovative functions to the market and continuously evolve our software platform.

What you'll do
You will be an important player in forming our component HIL test automation, with elements that will enable totally new possibilities and ways of working. Together with your cross-department colleagues, you will be responsible for developing test automation scripts, keeping the test scripts up to date and fully functional to enable manual and fully automated test flow in our continuous integration tool chain.
Out team, the Integration and Release team, is responsible for the development of automatic SW integration, release and the continuous deployment process for power electronics. We work with maintenance of CI/CD toolchain and SW integration and qualification testing. We are also responsible for inventory, specification and maintenance of HIL test environments as well as have ownership of the releases from Power Electronics SW.
What you'll bring
You are someone with a passion for the development of complex systems within vehicle electrification and embedded systems. You are devoted to driving engineering challenges all the way from the concept stage to mass production.
You have a senior background within the field of test automation, test infrastructure, test setup, and a natural initiator who commits to delivering the team's deliverables with high precision on quality. You are a team player who contributes and brings out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your network. You hold a Bachelor or Master's degree within Electrical, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems, Data or Mechatronics.
Furthermore, you have at least 4 years of relevant experience from:
• Component HIL test automation
• HIL systems such as dSPACE, Vector, INCA or similar
• Documented programming experience in Python
• Configuration management, version control and test management tools
• Tools for handling calibration as well as scripting for automating testing towards our Continuous Integration chain
• Troubleshooting SW and HW issues on the HIL to keep test systems up and running 24/7
Meritorious:
• Experience with domain HIL, SIL or VIL is an added advantage.
• Experience in managing the test inventory, managing the test objects and HIL environments.
• Experience in handling the test objects and HILs for planning, commissioning, prioritization, and stability
• Driving license
