Let's introduce ourselves
At the engineering department of P&E (Propulsion & Energy) we are responsible for design and delivery of the technical solution of electrified vehicles. The organization is divided into several areas that covers the complete product development, mechanical, electrical and software.
The department, Battery Hardware, is responsible for designing HW components for the Traction Battery System. You will be part of an engineering team that develop engineering solutions that fulfil attribute requirements and manufacturing process demands within decided cost and time frames. The work includes contacts with other engineering departments, CAE teams and manufacturing engineering within our company as well as with external suppliers.
The work consists of Design Lead work of HW battery electrical components such as Sheet metal and HPDC (High Pressure Die Casting) parts.
What you'll do
Group Design Leader. As GDL you are responsible for Time, Technique and Cost within your specific area. Contact with GDL’s, CAE, other R&D members, and manufacturing to agree of required progress. Ensure that the technical documentation (3D Model, TCE, 3DPMI) is available at the right level and at the right time. Ensure that cost is within target and have a close contact with Procurement and supplier. Participate in project meetings and report status to Department Program Manager (DPM).
What you'll bring
Experience as a Group Design Leader for Battery Electrical HW for at least 6 years. Skilled in Volvo Cars processes and tool such as Team Centre Engineering (TCe), Planisware, PCT, VIRA, TC-PLM and KDP. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Technical education at university level or equivalent experience.
You are structured way of working, and good documentation skills. Positive attitude. Self-driven, result oriented and flexible.
