The challenges created by a more global manufacturing footprint and need for vehicle movements over greater distances with an increased number of suppliers brings higher risk to the product quality levels that we at Volvo Cars build in during the manufacturing process. We need a Supply Chain serviced by suppliers that value our product as much as we do and an Outbound Logistics Quality team that ensures that.

What you'll do

As Global Logistics Quality Lead you will be responsible for the further development and implementation of transportation standards to be applied to the entire Supply Chain network with the clear aim to improve current performance in a sustainable way for Volvo Cars and where applicable Affiliate brands. Additionally, you will be expected through regional teams to work closely with all manufacturing facilities particularly on vehicle protection and inspection standards and with R&D during new model developments to understand all new model characteristics and their requirements for transportation including appropriate protection. You will have responsibility for leading the digital transformation of all processes related to vehicle transportation quality globally to bring an increased speed in damage identification and rectification to reduce impact on end customer. 

Other responsibilities:
•    Build strong cross functional relationships with all parties involved in quality related activities from engineering to manufacturing and delivery 
•    Drive the function performance to have a focus on the end customer experience and not just achieving a KPI
•    Foster a team culture not afraid to challenge the traditional method of working and standards of transport delivery 
•    Drive quality digital transformation activities throughout the supply chain
•    Provide direction, clear delegation and obstacle removal through informed fast decision making  

As a Global Logistics Quality Lead you will play a crucial role in ensuring high customer satisfaction and a good brand image for Volvo Cars.

What you'll bring

You have a good understanding of Volvo Cars Company product lineup and development process and have experience in working within engineering and vehicle product quality related functions. You have a proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration, preferably with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly the supply base. Additionally you have great leadership skills leading people and content as project/program manager.

Other requirements:
•    Broad network within Volvo Cars (across Engineering and Manufacturing and Supply Chain)
•    Proven abilities in presenting subject matter and data analysis results to senior management 
•    Fluent in English

Skills and experiences are important, but personality is key! We need someone who can lead a multi-cultural team across all regions to develop efficient Logistics quality processes in the end-to-end flow.
