Who We Are

 

Volvo Cars is embarking on an exciting journey to enhance our in-house software development capabilities. Within our Computing Infrastructure System (CIS) department, we are at the forefront of this transformation. Our teams are developing the next generation of high-performance in-vehicle computers, known as the "Core System," designed to power a wide range of vehicle applications. These applications span from essential vehicle state functions to advanced active safety features and unsupervised autonomous driving capabilities.

We are now looking for a driven and experienced leader with a passion for planning and testing to join us on this ambitious journey.

 

What You'll Do

As a Project Lead/Test Lead within CIS, you will play a pivotal role in driving our strategy and coordinating plans across the organization. Your leadership will ensure that our Core System meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance while seamlessly working as intended.

You will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of test strategies and initiatives. This includes creating detailed plans that address both software and hardware components, executing comprehensive test cases, and monitoring progress to resolve any issues promptly. In addition, you will contribute to the continuous optimization of test automation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Who You Are

You are an experienced professional in software requirements, testing, and test automation, with a passion for influencing outcomes, solving problems, and working collaboratively. You possess strong analytical and organizational skills, which drive your ability to ensure the highest quality in automotive systems.

Your educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical and Software Engineering, or a related field. You have over seven years of experience in automotive testing or a similar role, with at least two years in a leadership position.

Your expertise includes a deep understanding of automotive engineering, software testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes. You excel in developing and executing test strategies and have hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools. Your leadership abilities enable you to mentor teams effectively and drive quality initiatives, while your communication skills ensure smooth collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
