Vehicle Motion Control delivers features and innovations to enable the next generations of electric propulsion, self-driving, and active safety technology. The aim is to create the most energy-efficient and rewarding drive experience by controlling several actuators such as motors, brakes, and steering. The organization works on early research and advanced engineering projects to the industrialization of the cars in teams that cover all from feature definition, system design, and software implementation to system and vehicle testing. We are now looking for an Engineering Manager for the team doing function definition, architecture, and system design for acceleration, deceleration, and stand still area, called Longitudinal Vehicle Control Design.

 

What you’ll do
In your role as an Engineering Manager, you will have the overall operational and technical responsibilities for two teams, one focus on functional design and the other one on system and architecture design. You will actively work with continuous improvements related to the function and system design process. You will drive technical strategies related to the team areas while actively guiding and coaching the team members to reach the goals. Furthermore, you will ensure the needed competencies and continuous development of the teams.

 

We are looking for candidates who have strong skills in leadership, and communication and with an open-minded approach. You have the ability to energize people using an empowered team-oriented approach and possess a strong initiative and driving ability to make things happen.

We think you have a Master of Science in the relevant area, and technical knowledge in mechatronic system control, automotive function/system design, and system safety as a lot of the features are safety critical. Fluency in English written and spoken, as well as a Drivers’ license B, is required for this role.
