What you will do

As a Data Engineer, within Quality Data & Analytics you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse or data lakes. You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data availability and quality. Your role will involve developing and optimizing databases, data models, and schemas to support efficient data storage and retrieval. Implementing data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations is also a key part of your responsibilities.
You will monitor data pipelines and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize data processing and delivery. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and integrate new data sources and technologies that enhance our data capabilities is essential. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, and recommending innovative solutions to improve data infrastructure and processes, will be part of your ongoing duties.
Required Skills
•    Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
•    Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
•    Experience with Snowflake
•    Experience with data integration and ETL tools
•    Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases 
•    Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks 
•    Experience with version control systems, such as Git
•    Understanding of cloud platforms and services 
•    Experience in data modeling and designing efficient data schemas.
•    Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and techniques.
•    Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance practices.
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


 

What you will bring


•    Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
•    5+ years in data engineering related fields
