We are approximately 36 engineers divided into three groups. Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is focusing on strategic work and early concept phase in the car programs.


What you’ll do

Within the group Manufacturing Technology we are now looking for a Core Manufacturing Engineer. The role has a challenging target setting responsibility towards Product & Quality (P&Q) securing production of next generation of drivelines and vehicles in our assembly plants globally. The purpose of the role is also to lead development work and create new processes supporting efficiency optimization. It is important both to drive efficiency work of today, and to understand implications of future global products and processes. You will be responsible for technical and production strategic development including manufacturing requirements and investigate consequences in industrial structure changes, future car programs and platform issues. Planning and leading benchmarking activities and establishing layouts to ensure the most economic process utilization is also one of your responsibilities. You will also:

  • Secure that lessons learned improvements are implemented into new solutions
  • Define cost and investment consequences for process and product changes


You and your skills

You are experienced within leadership and you also have experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or a System Manufacturing Engineer. You should have knowledge about processes, methods, and tools used within Manufacturing Engineering and Product & Quality. Your responsibilities also include to have Robust Design and Failure Mode Avoidance knowledge, process and product and if you have experience from virtual work in 3D tools (e.g. Catia, Teamcenter, ProEngineer, Solid Works, Process Simulate) this is meritorious.  You have a B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree in engineering – Mechanical or Industrial or equivalent and English in spoken and written is required.

To succeed in the role you need to enjoy working in a team and you have good communication and planning skills because this is something you will use daily in your work tasks. In order to achieve the above you are open, creative, positive and have the ability to listen to others. In order to fully enjoy the job you are target oriented, you see opportunities rather than difficulties and you have good analytical abilities. Lastly you have a great ability to organize and prioritize your own work tasks and you enjoy working in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team.
