We're in search of a talented Project Manager within the construction industry to join our Workplace team. At Volvo Cars, we are pioneering the transition towards a tech-driven future, and you will play a vital role in leading and overseeing projects in new construction as well as facility maintenance projects.
You will also contribute with continuous development of our global project model as well as focusing on construction budget estimations for early phase project planning.
What you'll do
As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead projects with precision and attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to navigate project complexities and deliver optimal results. Additionally, you will develop and continuously refine Volvo Workplace project model and engaging in early phase planning by conducting budget estimations and project calculations.
As a Construction Project Manager & developer, your key responsibilities include:
• Project Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership for projects ifrom inception to completion.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure project continuity and safety compliance.
• Project model development: Continuously develop and refine the project model and standard to enhance the project management tools and ways of working.
• Calculation: Performing project calculation and budget estimations for construction projects and planned maintenance projects.
What you'll bring
In this role, you will spearhead projects as well as supporting the organization with construction calculations and project model and tools development. Your collaborative approach will be crucial as you work closely with internal and external stakeholders to navigate the intricacies of each project, ultimately delivering optimal results. Your proficiency will be instrumental in driving successful project outcomes, demonstrating leadership in stakeholder coordination and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. By harnessing your skills in project management tools and skills in developing system support in workflows as PowerApps, Microsoft Teams and Power BI, you will contribute to the entire project portfolio deliveries.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years as a Project Management in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of project management theory and implementation of project models and standards.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish and English.
• Desirable:
Competency in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerApps and Power BI.
Experience in construction calculation/costing.
