Volvo Cars' Commercial Operations refer to the department responsible for the sales, marketing, and commercial strategy of the company's passenger cars globally. Led by the Chief Commercial Officer and supported by Product Line Owners, this division focuses on enhancing customer offerings, aligning product lines regionally, and driving stronger sales performance to achieve Volvo Cars' vision of becoming a fully electric car maker.
What you'll do
Drive commercial success and global launches of our Services & Extended Warranty portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring a commercially balanced product offering, aligning regional and global strategies, and leading cross-functional collaboration. Will own and drive commercial input, ensuring market implementation according to requirements while spearheading business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute offers to achieve long-term business objectives
- Identify and capitalize on revenue-enhancing opportunities
- Ensure customer-centric global product offer, pricing, and revenue alignment across channels and regions
- Set strategic ambitions and growth objectives
- Conduct business performance reviews and support regions with actionable insights on how to improve sales and profitability
- Ensure marketing activation on a regular basis to support sales
- Ensure insights and learnings are captured and considered
2. Launch Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead cross-functional projects & programs, ensuring stakeholder alignment
- Deliver successful market launches in collaboration with LLs, based on agreed objectives
- Secure go-to-market plans for each product area
- Represent commercial business in key internal and external meetings
- Drive cross-functional collaboration centrally and regionally, making strategic decisions
3. Stakeholder & Commercial Coordination
- Responsible for pushing commercial success of portfolio based on targets
- Work closely with the commercial training team to ensure adequate training for customer-facing staff
- Coordinate commercial activities, e.g, omni-channel stratefy, global launch plan & strategy, and sales activation plans
- Secure pricing and margin structures
What you'll bring
You would bring the ability to manage complexity, balancing multiple stakeholder needs. You would have significant experience in consumer product and program management. You carry strong strategic mindset with ability to define & implement strategies. You would also bring excellent business insight and financial acumen as well as exceptional communication and presentation skills.
