You will join the Strategy, Media and Analytics team within Global Marketing. Our mission is to maximize both short-term sales and long-term brand equity by making data-driven decisions and ensuring marketing investments deliver measurable business impact.
The team brings together specialists across marketing strategy, planning, operations, SEO, paid media and marketing analytics. These areas are evolving rapidly to support our future ambitions, creating a dynamic, collaborative environment with marketing colleagues from around the world.
What you'll do
As the Global Channel Lead for Paid Social, you will play a critical role in unlocking the full commercial potential of one of Volvo Cars’ most important marketing channels. Operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and innovation, you will own the global direction for paid social, ensuring it delivers scalable growth, efficiency, and measurable business impact. This is an opportunity to define how paid social contributes to Volvo Cars’ next phase of marketing transformation.
Some of the key responsibilities you’ll undertake:
• Channel Strategy & Ownership: Own and continuously evolve the global paid social strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, media frameworks, and performance KPIs.
• Activation Standards & Excellence: Set clear standards for execution and ensure consistent, high-quality activation across regions and agency partners, driving best-in-class channel delivery.
• Performance & Growth: Drive measurable improvements in channel performance through structured experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and a rigorous test-and-learn agenda focused on ROI and efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with internal teams across Media, Analytics, Content, and Marketing Operations, Organic Social as well as key platform partners, to enable integrated and impactful activation.
• Innovation & Future Capabilities: Identify and scale new opportunities within paid social, including emerging platforms, formats, and technologies, translating innovation into tangible business value.
• Governance & Scalability: Establish and refine global processes, frameworks, and documentation to ensure transparency, efficiency, and scalability across markets.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone who is structured, dedicated to deliver, and comfortable working across a matrix organisation with multiple teams. To be successful in this role you will have a strong strategic mindset, excellent ability to structure complex challenges, strong analytical skills, and a leadership style with focus on delivering. You are a collaborator that builds trusts with others and has a positive mind-set and is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
You communicate with clarity, are an active listener and that convey points in a conceiving, inspiring and decisive manner. You have brilliant presentations skills to be able to present with impact on executive level.
You likely have experience with large global brands, either internally or from agency/consultancy background. Ultimately you understand and are passionate about linking marketing activities to tangible business results.

Qualifications:
• Strong marketing background with deep expertise in paid social platforms, including optimization levers and emerging trends.
• 4–5+ years’ experience in similar roles, with a proven ability to translate business objectives into strategies that drive measurable outcomes (growth, ROI, efficiency).
• Experience working in global or multi-market environments, balancing global consistency with local needs.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in data-driven optimization, testing frameworks, and performance insights.
• Proven track record of leading agency and platform partners (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and Tiktok) to deliver aligned, high-performing outcomes.
• Experience building and prioritizing test-and-learn roadmaps to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across senior and cross-functional audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent experience.
