What you will do

The Painted Body department within Vehicle Platform is responsible for the development of body structures and surface treatment systems for all Volvo cars. Development work is mainly conducted within the department and in close cooperation with Manufacturing, Procurement, Design, Suppliers and external partners.  Painted Body needs talented people on board. People with passion, energy, business sense and the drive to innovate and make things happen. In this role as analysis engineer, you will belong to the group Surface Products and work within the Adhesives & Sealants area. Your main task will be the material responsibility for different surface treatment bulk material such as sealants and sprayable NVH materials. This includes the development and introduction of improved materials in our plants. You will also be responsible for the analysis and verification.
 

Working within surface treatment area means that you will establish and develop relationships with a variety of system areas and customers globally. You will work in close collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement, and you will be responsible for keeping technical contact with suppliers. Qualifications
•    M.Sc in Chemistry/Materials or equivalent (university degree)
•    At least 5 years experience within the surface treatment or similar area including test and verification in lab environment
•    Experience from project management and technical leadership skills
•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•    Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key
