Senior Casting Process Engineer

What you’ll do

  • Responsible to define the HPDC processes and parameters of integrated die-casting manufacturing, lead the casting die commissioning to optimize the product/process before mass production.
  • Able to evaluate the product and die structure design rationality (Such as Overflow, Runner, Thickness).
  • Responsible for continuous optimization of the die casting process, work close with Shop Engineers and Equipment Engineers to analyze and solve issues such as process, parameters, geometry, Quality inspectioncycle time, cost.
  • Work with the Global ME team to design the dies, tools and control plans. And collect all relevant lessons learned and input them into the manufacturing requirements of future projects.
  • Supplier evaluation and development follow-up, support procurement, and lead RFQ process. Maintain suppliers in the integrated die-casting industry chain and promote cooperation between upstream and downstream internal and external resources.
  • Work with Product ME for conducting feasibility analysis and inspection of SE integrated die-casting components for the complete body, to ensure that all product releases and process feasibility have been validated. Support synchronous engineering to solve process and quality issues in design solutions, ensure the design quality and manufacturing feasibility.

 

What you’ll bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in HPDC die fields. Professional knowledge high-pressure die casting, such as high-vacuum die casting, extrusion pin technology application, spot cooling technology application, etc.
  • Able to independently lead the setting and adjustment of process parameters of die-casting equipment above 4000T. Experience in at least two high-pressure die casting projects from early-stage commissioning to mass production until handover.
  • Familiar with casting die structure design, including the design evaluation of water circuit, oil circuit, Slider and Core pulling rationality.
  • Good team spirit, logical thinking ability, strong sense of responsibility and communication skills.
  • Have project management experience, good at communication, willing to cooperate, and focus on teamwork.
  • Bachelor or above, major in Vehicle Engineering/Mechanics/Materials, etc.
  • English CET-4 or above, good at written and reading, good spoken English will be a plus.
  • Prefer if have Casting simulation knowledge.
  • Proficient in using AUTO CAD, Catia and MS applications software.
