Job Summary

The Finance Market Manager represents Volvo Car Financial Services by developing loyal and strong working relationships with Volvo retailers throughout the Texas Delta market including retailers in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. This position is responsible for achieving certain measurable sales, customer satisfaction and operational results throughout our Texas Delta market.

The Finance Market Manager will manage the Texas Delta market with a flexible schedule working from a home office.  He/she will report to the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager - South within the VCFS Sales organization.  Centrally located to the market, the Finance Market Manager will reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  The role includes a new Volvo company vehicle to meet the expectations of in-market travel three-four days per week with overnight travel required up to 75% of the time.  

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Achieve Market Targets and Objectives for the following: New Retail, New Lease, CPO and Pre-Owned Volvo penetrations, VIP assurance products, and Care by Volvo.  These are Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Targets.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to Retailers.

• Participate in monthly and annual planning sessions on sales, incentives, and financials.

• Coordinate with VCFS Regional Sales & Marketing Manager on retailer meetings and deliver messaging to retailers as needed.

• Work with and provide guidance to Retailer Principal and Retailer Management to achieve Retailer and VCFS combined objectives. Develop improvement plans as needed where opportunities exist.

• Work cross-functionally with the in-market Volvo Cars Market Manager and Aftersales Market Manager.

• Manage and prioritize Market activities, video conference, and/or in-person meetings to align penetration objectives.

• Monitor, review, and consult retailers on CX initiatives related to Retailer Customer Satisfaction processes driving increased customer satisfaction and J.D. Power results.

• Manage market implementation of sales programs, point-of-sale marketing materials, digital solutions, and available retailer resources.

• Lead the market transformation of digital contracting and electronic menu selling aligning with our sustainability core value.

• Develop vendor relationships to improve efficiencies, profitability, and penetration.

• Provide market input on credit and funding standards, procedures, and strategies.

• Coordinate with JM&A Dealer Performance Managers on in-retailer performance metrics and training.

• Collaborate with the regional JM&A VIP Brand Manager to further VIP goals and initiatives throughout the market.

• Define Retailer improvement programs based on targets and objectives.

• Plan and host an annual VCFS Retailer Summit, market meetings, and/or any other function within the market to achieve objectives.

• Attend VCFS and Volvo Cars sponsored meetings outside of market.

 

Competencies/Experience/Skills Required

• Strong management abilities (coaching, teaching, developing others) – demonstrated success.

• Ability to analyze issues and data systematically to find opportunities and successes.

• Ability to utilize all aspect of Microsoft Office Suite tools to communicate, analyze data, track trends, and retrieve relevant information.

• Proficient in Microsoft Power BI or business intelligence platform

• Ability to communicate, both written and orally, on a professional level

• Broad knowledge of F&I and Retail Sales experience, which is usually acquired through a combination of education (Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience) and at least 3-5 years of Automotive retail experience.

• Proven track record of success selling F&I products at the retail level.

• Experience with Dealertrack and RouteOne platforms including credit application submission and digital contracting.
