Creative Strategist - Marketing & Brand

Let us describe the challenge we offer    
As a Creative Strategist at Volvo Cars, your purpose is to envision the idea behind the idea. The mission is to both challenge and inspire our Marketing & Brand and Communications teams, as well as the rest of the company, to bring your creative and disruptive ideas to life. In this role you will be playing a key role in developing purposeful stories about the Volvo brand including our products and services.


The ideal candidate is a creative visionary who understands execution and has deep knowledge in how to build and scale transformative brands through purposeful and bold creative ideas, in the ever-evolving consumer and communication landscapes. You will collaborate very closely with Brand Strategy and Brand Management teams, to create and execute ideas, as well as partner up with other areas of the organization when you seek inspiration and/or dig for proof points.      


This job gives you the unique opportunity co-create compelling creative and inspire the organization to do story doing rather than storytelling. Creating work that makes an impact and matters, by putting yourself in the customer’s shoes; if you wouldn’t read/watch/use/share your campaign, they won’t either. You have an eye for compelling creative and inspiring storytelling while inspiring people around you to see the bigger picture. You are equally comfortable in “left brain” and “right brain” problem solving – and most excited when both are deployed at the same time. By nature you demonstrate service mentality and willingness to make others succeed while showing you strong ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and in a variety of contexts.  You also find it easy to understand how to leverage data driven insights push the boundaries of creative excellence.  
 

Experience        
•    University degree in relevant fields or equivalent expertise
•    10+ years’ brand-side experience with creative, branding and strategic planning 
•    International working experience from US, Asia or large European markets is a must
•    Strong presentation skills and interactive storytelling ability including business acumen 
•    At Volvo, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication
