Job Summary:      

The primary role of the position is to accurately perform warranty audits to ensure retailer compliance with Volvo policy. In addition, perform supplementary audits as necessary to support other areas of the business, both externally and internally. Position requires extensive travel within the Americas.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and conduct both onsite audits and remote (virtual) audits at Volvo retailers throughout the Americas (US, Canada) by assessing claims, processes, and operations relative to corporate policies and procedures in ensuring retailer compliance.
  • Audit warranty claims and dealer services in accordance with Volvo policy and procedures.  Extensive analysis of warranty claims to identify out-of-line conditions that drive high warranty spending and excessive damages or claims, as well as fraudulent practices.
  • Support the implementation and development of corporate policies and processes to help simplify and educate Volvo Retailers.
  • Includes delivery of policies/processes to VCUSA/Canada personnel on claim accuracy to maintain knowledge of compliance requirements, workshop efficiency and warranty key performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of Repair Order components and DMS applications: CDK, R&R, Dealertrack, etc.
  • Ability to travel 40-50%

 

 

Competencies/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Dealer interfacing or field experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of warranty booking and claims relative to administration, compliance, and identifying out-of-line conditions:  excessive/overlapping warranty parts and labor claimed, unsupported repairs, unauthorized repairs, etc.
  • Minimum (1-3) years automotive experience – preferably in Aftersales sector.
  • People skills: Confident handling delivery of audit findings to Dealer and Mgmt.
  • Strong Computer skills i.e. Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Strong ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills, report writing, grammar.
