Technical Service Trainer

Job Summary:

  • Educate Volvo retailer technicians in the diagnosis and repair of Volvo cars in order to improve customer satisfaction and fixed-right-first-time-in-time scores (FRFTIT)

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow Volvo policy to deliver quality training through effective instructor delivery and classroom preparation
  • Maintain the daily operation of your assigned training facility including equipment and cars
  • Schedule technical training sessions according to retailer training requests
  • Support improvements to current curriculum and creation of new web-based or instructor-led training courses
  • Work together with other technical trainers on common group activities, such as competitions, conferences and Train-the-Trainer events

 

Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Volvo Master Technician
  • Strong Microsoft (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.) skills with the ability to learn additional software programs
  • All 8 ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications, plus L1 (Advanced level specialist) and L3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist
  • Proficient in Volvo specific computer applications such as VIDA and TIE
  • Strong knowledge in advanced automotive diagnostics and hybrid vehicle systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Extensive experience with adult learning technology including learning management systems
  • Good presentation skills
  • Leadership skills
