Job Summary:

As a Volvo Service Technician supporting the Corporate Methods Workshop, you will be part of an enthusiastic team that technically supports the corporate fleet of test and employee lease cars, tests new automotive solutions, and collaborates in testing new digital platforms.  This role will provide training on all the latest Volvo Car technology, including our electrified product lineup. You will gain an understanding of how to work within an environment that follows the LEAN principles and have the desire to drive continuous improvement with a strong focus on detail and precision to ensure quality results.  Your feedback on methods and technology is critical in developing new concepts that will develop and improve our future workshop strategy. 

 

We currently have two Service Technician openings to support our workshop!

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service/repair Volvo vehicles to manufacturer specifications
  • Ensure that every vehicle is fixed right the first time, in time
  • Periodically conduct time studies for validation of warranty guides
  • Validate new repair methods prior to implementation 
  • Test installation of accessories prior to market rollout Volvo Port Accessory Program
  • Utilize and/or test digital solutions to drive workshop efficiency and increase customer satisfaction
  • Exercise LEAN principles with every movement within daily activities
  • Identify opportunities within current processes/procedures 

 

Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • Experience within the premium car segment preferred 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Ability to adhere to procedures 
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team 
  • Ability to work within specified time frames 
  • 1 year experience or completion of a trade/college automotive program
