PLC Engineer

What’s in it for you?

  • As a Tooling and Equipment Paint Engineer within Manufacturing Engineering, you will develop and implement quality-assured, flexible, effective, and reliable production systems and equipment solutions in our Paint shops.
  • Our mission is to develop and support projects with Paint process solutions within 
  • Paint locally and globally, as well as manage the installations projects in our plants.
  • Now we are looking to hire a new colleague within the competence area of the Electrical Hardware & Software.

 

What you will do…

  • The Equipment engineer is responsible for automation design and safety solutions defined in our Scopes of work and Request for Quotation within our production plants.
  • The challenge for this role the next coming years is to modify our existing lines in the Paint shop for our next generation of cars and further develop the current production system, which have to be flexible, low in energy consumption and have a high technical availability and maintainability.
  • The role will require good cooperation with the Global PLC network and the production organization.

 

Do you fit the profile?

  • The ideal candidate will have an academic degree within areas of Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, alternatively equivalent experience and worked with equipment installation projects (systems design and integration) minimum 3 years. 

Other experience and knowledge needed: 

  • High automation competence
  • Extensive knowledge of PLC programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal
  • Industrial IT knowledge & experience
  • Machine Safety knowledge & experience
  • Electrical hardware knowledge & experience
  • Experience of PLC commissioning
  • Experience of industrialization projects, preferably as project manager or lead engineer
  • Experience of paint production process is a plus
  • Project management and leadership skills
